Tim Matheson is an American actor, director, and producer. He is a director for the USA Network show Psych. Matheson has directed three episodes of Psych: He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, He Loves Me, Oops He's Dead!, 65 Million Years Off, and Earth, Wind and... Wait for It. He is also known for his roles as Vice President John Hoynes on the NBC drama The West Wing and as Eric "Otter" Stratton in Nation Lampoon's Animal House. As an actor he often plays thoughtful, morally ambiguous but highly PR-astute characters. Most recently, he has directed several episodes of Hart of Dixie.
