Selene Gilmore appears in Psych: The Movie, Psych 2: Lassie Come Home and Psych 3: This Is Gus as Gus's love interest, fiancée and wife. She is portrayed by Jazmyn Simon.
Psych: The Movie[]
Shawn and Gus first meet Selene at the planetarium. Gus is immediately smitten and plans to make her his, but she catches him off-guard by making the first move and inviting him up to the telescopes. However, they quickly get into a fight about whether Pluto or Eris should be considered the ninth planet of our solar system. Selene then suddenly kisses Gus passionately, and he reciprocates before storming out of the planetarium in a huff.
The duo later meet her again at the morgue, where she managed to locate Gus through an Instagram post. After taking him aside, she explains that she has researched him all over the web and has chosen him to be her boyfriend. She hands him the "resume" of her romantic history as well as his favorite kind of sandwich (fluffernutter) and promises to give him some time to think her proposition over.
Selene later finds Gus once more as he gets back from Alcatraz, where he voiced his regret of not getting with her when he had the chance. He happily agrees to a relationship as long as he can be the "cheetah", which Selene allows. They kiss and make plans to join Shawn and Juliet on their honeymoon.
Psych 2: Lassie Come Home[]
Selene is worried about Gus and his devotion to their relationship when she cannot reach him for two days. She wants Juliet to file a missing-persons report, but Juliet tells her that Gus is safe and sound in Santa Barbara together with Shawn. Unfortunately she also reveals that Dolores O'Riordan, Lassiter's nurse at the Herschel House recovery home, has a thing for Gus. Selene is worried she might have lost Gus and insists she and Juliet travel to the home together.
Juliet first takes her to the prison in order to have Lassiter shooting suspect Reese Kessler recant his confession, but this fails when Selene drives him away by becoming angry at him (calling him "you ol' deadbeat D'Andre") for choosing to go prison for something he didn't do instead of taking care of his wife and kid. Juliet is then summoned to the Viking's Den Ice Bar, where Devon Tileback has just been killed. Buzz is the leading detective and so gets to meet Selene for the first time. Upon hearing that she is Gus's girlfriend, however, he assumes that Selene must be the nurse he has heard about. This enrages Selene, who abandons Juliet and takes her car to visit the Herschel House alone.
During the gang's final showdown with Per Asblorn, Selene suddenly enters the room after having visited Dolores. Still convinced that Gus likes Dolores back, she tells him she can live with his choice to date Dolores instead. She also reveals that the positive pregnancy test that Shawn had found earlier and assumed to be Juliet's is actually hers, causing Gus to faint from joy. Selene then takes advantage of her position right next to Per by stabbing him in the eye with the test, incapacitating him and allowing the gang to overpower him. While he's being taken into custody, Selene asks Gus to marry her. Shawn tries to interfere, because he always thought Gus would be the one proposing. Gus shoves him off, though, and happily accepts and convinces Selene to move in next to Shawn and Juliet with connecting pools in their backyards and a lazy river running through their living rooms. Selene then casually mentions one tiny problem she has to take care of: she is still married at the moment.
Psych 3: This Is Gus[]
Since the wedding is now just around the corner and Selene has still not filed for divorce from her first husband, Shawn ignores her wish to deal with it alone. He tries to run a background check on the husband, but instead finds out Selene herself is not even in the system. Worried that she has been lying about her identity, he secretly goes through her purse at a restaurant and finds part of a Santa Monica address. Gus is initially upset at Shawn's sneaking around and refuses to bother Selene with questions about her past, but he does agree to a visit to Selene's sister, Whitney. However, they don't get the warm welcome Gus expected and one car chase later it turns out that Whitney is just an actress hired by Selene to play her sister. When asked about Santa Monica, Whitney explains that that's where she met Selene and fills our duo in on the rest of Selene's former address.
In Santa Monica Gus shows a picture of Selene to Selene's former landlord, who tells them of the mess she was in when Selene and her husband abruptly left in the middle of the night without any of their possessions. She scares our duo by mentioning that certain shady characters have also been looking for Selene, indicating she could be in grave danger. Eventually she lets Shawn and Gus into the apartment, where they finally find a trace of Selene's husband: a Cayucos ID belonging to one Alan Decker.
Meanwhile, Selene has noticed from the state of her purse that Shawn and Gus are trying to find out more about her past and teams up with Juliet and Karen to find them and protect them from harm. Selene tells her companions the story of Ronald "The Bull" Cole, a brewery CEO who is secretly a drug-smuggling arms dealer. Alan and Selene met when they were both sent to Cole's brewery works, he as a private investigator while she had to take photos of a comp claim. They decided to work together, and soon sparks started to fly. When they tailed a delivery van to a drop-off, they witnessed an altercation between Cole's bodyguard and a thug. A gun was left behind, but the police turned a deaf ear when presented with this evidence as they didn't believe Cole could possibly be a criminal. Intoxicated by the prospect of fighting crime alone, Alan and Selene got married by Alan's cousin Nipsey on a whim. However, Alan soon realized Cole's goons would find them wherever they went and broke up with Selene in order to protect her. Selene moved on and found Gus, and as she does not want to lose him the trio decide to save him and Shawn before they can get into even more trouble.
The three are at Selene's old apartment when Henry calls and informs them of the Cayucos ID. They follow our duo there, but find only their car outside with no one home. Selene immediately understands that Alan must have continued their investigation alone and has now taken our duo to the brewery. This is true, as Alan had promised Shawn and Gus that he would divorce Selene if they helped him.
At the brewery Juliet and Karen tell Selene to stay in the car, but she enters the building on her own not long afterwards and finds our duo in the tasting room, just in time to stop Alan from killing them and shortly after he's revealed that he and Selene were never really married because his cousin is not ordained. She still cares for him and tries to get him to leave peacefully so that he can evade police, but he refuses and Gus knocks him unconscious. Suddenly Selene's contractions start and our duo wheel her away on a keg dolly. They can't find their way out of the building, but they spot a sofa in the safe room where Selene can take a breather. Selene confesses that there's really no way they can wait any longer, so the baby will have to be delivered in the safe room. Gus and Selene don't want their child to be born out of wedlock, so Gus quickly prepares the ceremony. After Father Peter Westley joins the two in matrimony, Selene can finally start pushing. The baby is delivered by Shawn and Selene picks him and Juliet as the boy's godparents.
