In The Amazing Psych-Man & Tap-Man, Issue 2, Shawn and Gus question Scott, as they believe him to be The Mantis, however he takes it as them coming on to him, since they feel him up and say he must work out, and that he looks like he could, "handle himself in an alley full of guys".
When Shawn later confronts Scott looking for proof that he's The Mantis, Scott tells Shawn he'd be perfect for his friend Pete, but Shawn insists it's a big misunderstanding. Shawn pulls up Scott's sleeve expecting to see bite marks, but instead there's a tattoo of what Shawn thinks is a bull mastiff, but is actually his grandmother. This proves that Scott isn't The Mantis. Shawn then leaves Scott very disgruntled that Shawn thought his grandma was a bull mastiff.
At the end of the episode Scott talks to Juliet, who assures Scott that he and Shawn just got off on the wrong foot, and they'll hit it off eventually, but Scott walks outside to see Shawn and Gus chasing each other around ripping each others' clothes, and insists still that Shawn is, "perfect for his friend Pete".
