Sally Reynolds is an insurance agent and a member of Lassiter's recreational group of Civil War reenactors. She plays Jenny Winslow, a nurse who lost her husband and two sons to the conflict, and killed Captain Quantrill. However, history does not repeat itself, as Sally misses her cue and someone else proceeds to kill Nelson Poe, who is playing Quantrill. The subsequent investigation gives Shawn both cause and opportunity to get close to the lovely insurance agent, which he's happy to do. Events unfold to show that Sally was, in fact, the intended victim, and Griffin Mahoney the murderer, but this was because Sally was in on Griffin's insurance scam, and he was looking to silence her and avoid having to split the money.
