In "Any Given Friday Night at 10pm, 9pm Central", a foot was found by a trail near Lake Cachuma in Santa Barbara, California. It was first thought to be a missing-persons case, but was later discovered to be a murder. The victim was the Los Angeles Thunderbirds star kicker Vlad Alexavic. The SBPD deduced that it was most likely someone from the team who murdered him, since most people on the team were known to hate him. After a four-day investigation, Lassiter and Juliet made the arrests of Thunderbird players Matt Tompkins, Vince Garner, and Drew Shackler for "covering up" an accidental homicide, two charges of attempted murder of a police consultant, and a charge of attempted murder of a witness to an ongoing crime.
