Leo Quinn is an attorney who came to Shawn and Gus saying he was a "victim of poison" and wanted "his murderer" to be found before he "died". Little did they know he faked the symptoms to throw suspicion off him for the two days everyone would know he's alive. His wife, Rita Quinn, is originally suspected of the "poisoning", with a substance known as Compound 1080. But Rita is later found murdered, shot to death, getting even more convoluted when the duo find a post office box key to the elderly woman's box Quinn is assigned to watch over. A bank employee, Charles Sax, is seem stealing the contents with Quinn in a disguise. Sax is tracked down to where he's staying, but Quinn shoots him off the balcony he's cornered on. By this time, Quinn has killed Dr. Ulman, the one man knowing he wasn't poisoned, to cremate him and fake his own death with the doctor's. He leaves one final note to track down Curtis Stanzen, the last accomplice in the heist know for identity cons, but Stanzen escapes on a motorcycle, later dying from an actual poisoning of Compound 1080. Quinn thinks he finally got away with it and is about to board a one-way flight when Shawn, Gus, Juliet and Lassiter corner him after finding the missing poison signs in his autopsy report and he's finally arrested.
