Mr. Lassiter is the father of Carlton Lassiter. He appears in Psych 2: Lassie Come Home, both in a flashback and in Carlton's hallucinations.
The flashback shows him hiking in the woods with a young Carlton while the two are sharing a bonding experience. Carlton panics when his father suddenly disappears, but then the image distorts and we learn that adult Carlton is having a flashback on the brink of death after suffering several gunshot wounds. He hallucinates his father beside him, who encourages him to clearly remember why he is in his current situation.
Mr. Lassiter later appears in another hallucination to reassure Carlton when he sees an injured man stumble for the Herschel House stables and is afraid he is going crazy.
Mr. Lassiter appears once more in a hallucination when Dolores O'Riordan is about to kill Carlton, who has already accepted his fate. Carlton tells him that he felt betrayed by him because he wasn't able to say goodbye as a result of his unexpected death by a blood clot during a routine bypass surgery. His father reveals that despite his death he never left his son's side. Carlton forgives him and now has the strength to fight back against Dolores.
Mr. Lassiter appears in a final hallucination after Carlton has been reunited with Marlowe. Carlton spots him smiling proudly in a doorway and is finally able to say goodbye, after which his father disappears forever.
