Frankjim Ogletree is the recently appointed regional sales manager of the Central Coast Pharmaceuticals branch in Santa Barbara and therefore Gus's direct superior. He is considered a tyrant by his underlings and consequently earned the nickname "Little Pinochet". Once he reads an article in the newspaper about Gus's mummy-related exploits from S2E16 "Shawn (and Gus) of the Dead", he calls Gus into his office. He explains that the exclusivity clause in his contract prohibits him from working two jobs and that he therefore needs to make a choice: either he quits at CCP (where he hardly even shows up anymore) or he quits his detective work for Psych. He hands him a termination notice, which Gus reluctantly accepts.
When Shawn reads Gus's text about having to quit Psych, he intends to haunt Ogletree's house to show what an asset a detective among your ranks can turn out to be. However, he realizes a change of plans is required once he finds out Ogletree doesn't believe in the paranormal. He haunts vice president Paul Haversham's house instead and in doing so figures out a way to blackmail Haversham into keeping Gus on. Being Haversham's underling himself, Ogletree realizes there's nothing he can do about this and stops bothering Gus.
