Ernie is a seafood chef whose restaurant Shawn, Gus, and Uncle Burton visit while they are interviewing the chefs who are suspected of killing restaurant critic Vince Wagner. Their presence confuses Ernie, however, as Wagner never even reviewed his restaurant; this reveals that the trio were simply using the investigation as a pretext to eat some more delicious food, as they had already done at the restaurants belonging to genuine suspects Roland, Perry, and Kat.
