Ed Farrow is one of Lassiter's fellow tenants at 1101 Prospect Gardens. He lives in apartment 538, right next to Lassiter in 536, together with his wife Rose-Marie and young son Tony. Ed invites Lassiter to movie night when he sees him in the hallway together with Shawn and Gus, but Lassiter politely declines.
When Lassiter starts going crazy, Shawn remembers Lassiter's comment that there was a competing bid for his current apartment, and he also recalls seeing renovation plans sticking out of a Farrow shopping bag that concern both their own apartment and Lassiter's. He theorizes that the Farrows want to drive Lassiter out so that they can get the apartment and realize their dream of "one big penthouse".
However, upon talking to them he and Gus discover that the Farrows are not doing so well financially because they had to close down their lingerie store Frisky Business a month earlier. As a result, they put their plans on hold and withdrew their bid for apartment 536. Moreover, they explain they couldn't have been behind any strange occurrences in Lassiter's apartment because they only got back in town yesterday, and also had to take Tony to the emergency clinic that night to treat a very high fever.
