Earlie is a former Bosseigh High classmate of Shawn and Gus's, graduating alongside them as part of the Class of '95. Shawn joins him and his friends Dennis and Neil in the hallway at their 13-year class reunion. Earlie laments that women are "absolutely nothing but heartbreak", and when Shawn agrees he says that Shawn is just like them, "marginally employed, single, never been married".
Shawn notices Howie Tolkin's case has been vandalized and asks whether they'd seen anyone tamper with it, and Earlie replies he didn't but also says that he wishes he'd thought of that, since Howie used to terrorize him back in the day.
When Juliet rounds the corner and tells Shawn she's been looking all over for him, Earlie thinks she's Shawn's girlfriend and feels betrayed ("Dude, you totally lied to us. You have a girl and she is hot!").
Earlie is later seen in the crowd when Shawn reveals that Howie and Eileen Mazwell murdered Peter Colter together. Since Earlie had said earlier that he'd love to see Howie go down, he's undoubtedly quite chuffed with this.
