Cole's Bodyguard was one of Ronald Cole's goons and would complete transactions with the drug dealer who supplied Cole with the drugs he smuggled. Alan Decker and Selene were secretly watching one of these transactions during their investigation into Cole's shady side ventures when Cole's bodyguard suddenly drew a gun on the dealer. The two fought and left the gun at the scene, but the police weren't interested and the two lovers therefore had no choice but to keep investigating on their own. To make matters worse, they were found out and had to run for their lives to escape Cole's goons, presumably including the bodyguard. This would lead to their break-up.
