Checkout Guy works as a cashier at Home Depot. He gets chewed out by Special FTD Agent Lars Ewing because he didn't realize counterfeiter Steven Grabinski paid him in fake bills. He said he thought they were authentic simply because they said $100 on them, leading Ewing to ask him the rhetorical question whether he would accept a Granny Smith with $100 written on it as legal tender. Ewing then gives him a lecture on microprinting and why it makes counterfeit bills so easy to spot.
Checkout Guy doesn't turn out to be very helpful in describing Grabinski either, as the only thing he remembers is that he was a man. However, he confirms Shawn's statement that Grabinski didn't wear glasses, and when Ewing's sidekick Lindsay Leikin 'psychically' receives that Grabinski had a three-inch scar on his jawline and a single stud diamond in his left ear, Checkout Guy claims he can remember him exactly like that.
