Why do people keep saying the car is an Echo when, at least in the last season, it's a Yaris! The photos in the Wiki even label it "Echo" when it's a Yaris. A simple Google search of the two cars is all that is needed to prove my point.

Since it was filmed in Canada, the car had the Canadian model name, which was the "Echo," and not the "Yaris," which is the American version. In the episodes, it is clearly show with the "Echo" label, as well. Thus, it is marked as an "Echo" here, as that was how it was in the show.
That's not quite right Rchie. The Echo was in production from 1999 to 2005 in the US for the Sedan, the Hatchback, which is what the Blueberry was, ran from 2003 to 2005. It was superceded by the near identical Yaris in 2006. The echo was actually renamed Yaris in Canada in 2003 for the sedan and 2006 for the hatchback, it wasn't renamed in the US until 2006. But the cars are essentially the same. The car is also known as the Toyota Vitz.
Wow, thanks for that! I had no idea about any of that info. :)
Actually, the USA never got the hatchback version of the Echo, that's part of the reason there's so much confusion.
The Echo name was applied to the first generation Toyota Vitz in Canada and Australasia. The European version of the Vitz was called Yaris from the start, probably because Vitz means "joke" in German. The 2005-2010 North American Yaris hatch is the second generation Vitz.
There's actually a lot more to the story than this. I stumbled upon this page because I'm currently putting together a video for my YouTube channel that explains everything.
