Anthony Ogletree owns an exotic reptile shop on Central Avenue in Santa Barbara. Lassiter interviews him in his store because he has found some fenced items there that had been stolen in a string of recent burglaries. He doesn't get very far, though, as Anthony doesn't remember exactly when the items came in ("maybe Tuesday") or what the seller looked like. When he at least remembers that it was a guy Lassiter gives a description of suspect Carl Kozlowski, but Anthony does not think it was him. Meanwhile Shawn and Juliet have also arrived, and when Shawn notices a cup in the trash can containing chewing tobacco residue he immediately realizes the seller must have been Steve Hitchcock. Since he had earlier overheard Anthony say that he has a hard time telling people apart, Shawn instead describes Steve using animals ("Was he roly-poly like a pufferfish?" "Was he red-faced like a koi fish?" "And did he spit a lot like a Komodo dragon?"). All three descriptions are confidently confirmed by Anthony, so they now have a new top suspect.
