Amanda is a date Shawn takes to Tom Blair's Pub after she asked him out when he walked by her counter at work. Shawn realizes that she's just gotten out of a relationship from a call she ignores, her desire to throw herself into new things (like a painting class she just signed up for) and a necklace that was obviously gifted to her by a boyfriend. Amanda explains that she thought everything was going really well when he suddenly started behaving strangely by lying and going through her belongings, like her address book and her jewelry. When he told her he was going to watch a sports game at a friend's place and one of her colleagues spotted him at a mall instead, she was convinced he was definitely cheating on her and broke up with him. However, Shawn explains that he was never actually cheating: he took her jewelry to figure out her ring size, had her pick out a necklace to find out what she likes, went to the mall to pick out the engagement ring and used her address book to ask her parents for her hand. Amanda is amazed and calls her boyfriend immediately, returning over the moon not long afterwards as she is now engaged. She thanks and hugs Shawn before leaving the bar.
